The American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) is delighted to announce the outcome of the AUBG Alumni Association (AAA) presidential elections. With a remarkable participation rate of nearly 15% of alumni, the elections witnessed a dynamic and inspiring campaign.
We congratulate Valya Nadova (’13) on her election as the new president of the AUBG Alumni Association. Valya’s leadership qualities, combined with her unwavering dedication to AUBG, have earned her the trust and confidence of the alumni community.
This year’s elections were marked by the participation of three exceptional candidates, each bringing their unique vision, dedication, and expertise. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ilia Krastev (’00), Valya Nadova (’13), and Viktor Getov (EMBA ’22) for their commitment to serving the AUBG Alumni community and our alma mater and for inspiring us all with their passion.
We would also like to extend our congratulations to Valya’s team, Miroslav Arnaudov (’11), vice-president, and Simona Stancheva (’17), treasurer. Together, they form a dynamic team ready to lead the AUBG Alumni Association with integrity and vision.
We would like to thank Jordan Karabinov for his outstanding service as president for over two terms, demonstrating profound leadership and dedication. He not only achieved but surpassed the goals of the AUBG Alumni Association, enhancing its support for our alumni’s varied needs. His leadership fostered substantial improvements, nurturing a collaborative and vibrant environment.
