AUBG alumni Mihail Stoychev (’09) and Georgi Petrov (’10) just announced that their company NitroPack, a leading website optimization platform, has been acquired by WP Engine, the world’s most trusted WordPress hosting platform.

The acquisition is another impressive achievement for Mihail and Georgi – in 2020 their previous startup SMSBump was acquired by Yotpo in a $35 million deal. Now with NitroPack, they have established themselves as key players in the website performance optimization space.

Mihail and Georgi remain deeply connected to their roots and will continue their innovative work in Bulgaria. Their future endeavors will focus on user optimization, business results, and leveraging artificial intelligence to create cutting-edge solutions. While the specifics of their new project are still not announced, the alumni hinted at their dedication to “user optimization, business results and AI.”

“Staying true to our vision for a faster web, Mihail and I will be embarking on a new venture dedicated to user optimization,” Georgi said in a statement. “This new company focuses on linking web performance directly with tangible business results, recognizing that a fast website is a means to achieving greater business success.”

Mihail and Georgi remain dedicated to AUBG, serving as mentors in the Elevate Accelerator, speakers at events, and major donors.
