The AUBG Business Department cordially invites you to a presentation on the topic "Artificial Intelligence and Existential Threats" by Dr. Boris D. Grozdanoff.

Dr. Boris D. Grozdanoff is a philosopher of science who specializes in Scientific Epistemology, Space and Time, and Artificial Intelligence. He holds doctoral degrees in analytic epistemology from Central European University and philosophy of science from the Bulgarian Academy of Science. He conducted his specialization on the problem of scientific thought experiments at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Prof. James Robert Brown.

In 2006, Dr. Grozdanoff held a Visiting Fellow position at the Pittsburgh Center for Philosophy of Science. In 2008, he was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship by the European Commission and worked as a researcher at the Philosophy of Physics group at Oxford University until 2010.

Currently, he holds an Associate Professorship at the Bulgarian Academy of Science and teaches at the Technical University in Sofia. He has authored two books, one on the role of thought experiments in science and another on the dynamics of scientific theories. More recently, Dr. Grozdanoff has shifted his focus to the fields of artificial intelligence and quantum security. He is a managing partner of the quantum encryption start-up QAISEC and is a co-founder of the Defence and International Security Institute (DISI). In 2021, he was invited to join the AI advisory board of the international company Intelligent Service Robots (ISR). He previously served as an Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education on AI in 2019 and was a co-author of a national AI strategy project.
